Outlook is set as the default profile but icloud won't recognize

Outlook profile is set as the default in Outlook 2016 on a Windows 10 PC but I still receive the message that iCloud Setup cannot continue because Outlook doesn't have a default profile set up. How can I convince iCloud that a default profile IS set? I am running iCloud Version 6.0. I have tried everything I've found thus far, including signing out and back in, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. Any help is appreciated!

I did the same thing but still have this error. Reinstalled MS Office 2016 and icloud. Same bug.

I have a private pc (win10 + office 2016) and a laptop (win7 + office 2016). Both were working fine, but when I upgraded to 6.1. I got the error message. At both computers reinstallation is not helping me. Any other ideas?
