Q: iPhoto library can't be read anymore - Your iPhoto library is on a locked volume...

I upgraded to Mac Sierra and now iPhoto cannot open my library anymore. It says Caution - your library is on a locked volume...

My library is stored on an external drive. I checked the access rights and funnily enough it is now on "read only" for the drive, but on "read and write" for the library itself...

Who can help? I am lost without my pictures...

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.5.7)

Got it solved thank to Apple Support! My external drive, though for Mac and Windows, was formatted in Windows NT. Sierra couldn't read that any more. So the solution was to backup all data, erase the drive with Mac journaled format and retransfer all data... It works now!
