Hi everyone,
I would like to transfer data from my old phone to my new phone. I know that I need to do this via my laptop but is there any possible way where i could transfer everything like my contacts, calendar, notes etc. but except photos because i have too many in my old phone and I would like to start fresh.

If you want to keep the photos and then transfer some of them back to the new phone, import them to the PC and then delete them from the phone.
Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Then backup the old phone, minus the photos and transfer the contents to the new phone.
IF you want some of the photos that you imported to your laptop, sync them back using iTunes. Ignore the using iCloud part of this support article if you do not want to use it. There is no need for it.
