Q: monitor resolution
I recently bought a new monitor to connect to my Mac mini. I have been connecting it through an hdmi cable, but the highest resolution I get is 1080. I need a resolution of 1920 for graphic design. I am aware that I need an hdmi to dvi connection for that. However, I do not have a dvi output on my monitor. Is it possible to connect a vga to dvi adaptor to my monitor and use an hdmi to dvi cable connecting to my mac mini? Will it give out the 1920 resolution that I need and not create any problems?
Also the monitor I purchased did not come with downloadable software for Mac software or drivers. I find that weird, being that its 2016. I have an Hp Pavilion 22xw monitor, with no driver support for my OS.
