Thanks for your quick answer.
I've tried to download the installer using the App store, but it does not allow me to download to this machine as my Mac OS version is too new.
The problem is that I cannot use my other computer to download it because it hangs very often (that's why I'm trying to reinstall the OS).
Any alternative idea?

Oct 19, 2016 8:42 PM in response to chemiby Eric Root,Do not, under any circumstances, download an installer from other than the App Store. It will be an illegal copy, might have adware/malware associated with it, and potentially could render your computer to unusable.
What OS are you using on the computer now? menu/About this Mac.
What is the model number of your computer? To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.
