Q: iMac won't boot whatsoever

Hi.

So I own an iMac 21" 2014 model and I have a rather major problem with it. It won't boot at all. Here's the backstory to it.

So I installed Windows 10 on it a couple of months ago, and decided I didn't like it so I removed the Windows partition without using Bootcamp. Then, earlier today, I decided to install Ubuntu 16.10 on my computer. I went into the installer and remembered I forgot to partition my drive first, so I restarted. When I tried to hold the 'alt' key it didn't do anything, then proceeded to boot into the "Windows Boot Manager" (obviously something left there because I didn't erase Windows properly). Now I can't go to Recovery Mode, Internet Recovery or change my startup drive. What should I do?

Thanks in advance,

Marco

You'll have to get OSX on a USB stick or such, how are you replying here? On a Mac with App Store?

    Hi BDAqua,

So the problem is that I can't click 'alt' on startup (or CMD+R/alt+CMD+R) and so it sends me to what is what must obviously be the default startup disk. I think this may be because my iMac isn't picking up my Bluetooth keyboard (the one that came with the iMac). Also I am replying from my laptop.

With due respect you have suceeded in making a  mess out of your system.   Recommendation is to take it to your local Apple store or AASP to be fixed .  I recommend that you not work on it yourself .
