Unpair what devices. You have posted this in AppleWorks, a legacy program for Apple. You need to identify what it is that you are wanting to do, and please be more specific.

i have too many pics on my iPad I want to take them off and just leave them on my mac mini
i don't have enough storage to hold them all.
im afraid to delete them because it might delete them from my Mac mini. What should I do?

I will have to pass this. I'm not a Mac user, so I don't completely understand how they work. How are you syncing the photos to the Mac and the iPad, with iCloud drive, or something else?
