Q: Mirroring not working after iOS 10.0.2 upgrade

Hello! My iPhone 5 upgraded to iOS 10.0.2 last week. Ever since, my Airport Express doesn't show up in mirroring. It's running firmware 7.6.7. I already rebooted my router and Airport Express. Please help.

As you likely realize, your Airport Express provides AirPlay (but not AIrPlay Mirroring) with your iOS device.

 

What works for me is to access the non-mirroring device from iOS 10's iTunes app.  There you will see non-mirroring devices, unlike Control Center which seems to show only AirPlay Mirroring devices.

 

So open iTunes, look for the symbol as shown on the bottom, and find your AirPort Express there.

    Glad that helped.

     

    Yes, interfaces change from time to time.  But usually for those of us who update/upgrade Apple software regularly, the interface changes on any specific software update/upgrade are not too hard to master fairly quickly.  Those who don't update/upgrade regularly have a much harder chore.
