iPhone 7 plus reboots and crashes in loop. Can't connect to iTunes. what to do?

My iPhone 7 plus crashed and reboots itself without ever finishing the reboot, and crashes again. In a loop, again and again. Rebooting by pressing on/off and volume down didn't help either. Keeps on rebooting and crashing. Can't restore over iTunes as iTunes does not recognise that a device is connected. And despite syncing with iTunes the other day, the device does not show up in my list of apple devices when I log-in to the support webpage, so i can't request support for that device. And I can't sign in for support using serial number because i can't reboot the phone.

Can someone help? Thanks!!!

This is not helpful. The device will properly detect once in recovery mode but even after a recovery restore the phone remains in a permanent boot loop. I have a 256GB iPhone 7 plus; it is less than two months old and in immaculate condition. Even my charging habits are to the tee, because I work at Verizon and try to be an example of "ideal" cellular phone care.

Hey there!

I understand how important getting your new iPhone 7 Plus working as expected. If you re unable to have iTunes detect the device, try putting the device in Recovery Mode. If you can‘t update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

You should be able to restore the device this way.

You can also use the steps in this article to find your serial number on the iPhone packaging or the device itself: Find the serial number or IMEI on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
