Q: how would you clean wax off screen

My daughter's roommate was working on a project involving hot wax and it splattered on my daughter's MacBook pro. It wasn't totally covered, just splashes, and she got most of it off, but there is still a thin film on the screen.  What is the best & safest way to clean the screen?

    Tsvett,

This is very tricky/   Apple say you should only use water to clean the screen but that is simply not going to work here.   If the MacBook is in warranty, particularly if it is covered by Apple care, you may get help from Apple.  Try your nearest Apple store, genius bar.

Damage of this nature is not usually covered so be prepared for a bill.  I dare not guess what that may be.   What is important is that you must talk to Apple, anything not recommended will certainly affect any warranty.
