There is no way to retrieve a deleted album
Y9u can retrieve deleted photos from the recently deleted album
and 10.11.6 is out of date - OS X Sierra 10.12 is out - it would be good to update

How did your album vanish? Are you using iCloud Photo Library and are syncing an iPad or iPhone with Photos on your Mac?
