Q: Photos

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can copy all of my photos in my Macbook Pro to my backup hardrive but at the same time maintain the original photo dates?

i.e. in Photos, all occasions are split up based on the time the pictures were taken/ added. Can't i select all photos, drag it into my backup folder and have the dates retained? I'd hate to go through 11,000 photos without knowing when the pictures were taken?.

Thanks

MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), iOS 10.0.3

    Hi C0PYRIGHT,

I understand you want to backup your photos to an external drive without modifying the dates.  This can me done by selecting all of the photos you wish to backup in Photos and then select File > Export > Export Unmodified Originals.  You will then see the option to save these to your external drive.  Take a look at the article below for more information.
