Internet connection problems with macOS Sierra

Since upgrading to macOS Sierra my internet connection (WiFi) drops in & out for about 15 mins each time I open the MacBook before it stabilises. Our 2 iPads and 3 iPhones don't have a problem so I expect it's a Sierra problem?

This is a common issue on MacOS Sierra.

Taking the following steps should help in overcoming the problem :

  1. Open System Preferences -> Network
  2. Select WiFi from the list and go to the advanced option
  3. In the Wi-Fi tab of the advanced option check the "Turn Wi-Fi on or off" under Require administrator authorization

This should solve the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply PavanGJ, much appreciated. While my problem hasn't resolved you have highlighted where my problem sits. When I go into Network preferences I can't select anything and get the spinning beachball. The only way out is by force quitting. I've tried a reboot but it still does it so obviously something there is corrupting my network connection...
