I am researching into Uninterruptible Power Supplies and would like to know the threshold for the power transfer time for an iMac. Typically UPSs use an open transition switch in order to cut the faulty power supply and draw from it’s battery, the interruption time is in the milliseconds. Of course it’s likely that this will be fine for most microelectronic devices, but I would like to know if there is any data on what the minimum and maximum threshold is for an iMac?
