My Macbook pro retina display 13" has stopped working

My macbook pro is just over a year old. And last night when I opened it up to use it, the screen went from black (sleeping) to dark blue, the apple logo lit up, but again nothing on the screen except dark blue. I then started pressing some keys on the built in keyboard, and I heard the ding noise you receive when you can't use the keyboard at the certain time. So i am confident to say the keyboard and trackpad work, but the screen also seems to change colour but only from black to dark blue, I've tried to reboot it a few times, but still the same. The brightness of the dark blue also changes when I use the brightness key on the keyboard. What can i do to fix this?

Have you tried to start in Safe mode, to see if you can get to a desktop window?

If so, you would be asked to login admin password to continue; this would be

a reduced system and certain checks or minor repairs would be attempted on start.

You may also have tried a System Management Controller re-set. This could help

where various hardware symptoms develop; it may also be considered part of a

troubleshooting adventure where you could hope to gain access to the Mac.

•Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

Sometimes the reset of NVRAM+PRAM can be helpful also in troubleshooting;

because some of these things can resolve symptoms or narrow guesswork.

If you are within proximity of an official Apple store with genius, you could arrange

an appointment for an inspection and someone can check over your Mac, usually

the inspection is done for no fee. However further issues may require repair/fee.
