Q: Duplicated group members in WhatsApp

I have iOS 10.0.2 on an iPhone 6 and I noticed after upgrading to iOS 10 the group members of all my WhatsApp group chats are showing 2 times. Before I did the upgrade this was not happening. I checked both my Address Book on iCloud and the ones showing on WhatsApp, the Gmail contacts and the Address Book iPhone app itself and every contact seems to be correct and is only showing one time, so I really don't understand why is this happening. It only does on the group chats. Everywhere else everything is fine. Is kinda annoying to see the group member list and see twice the participants. Has somebody this issue? Any help? Thanks in advance.

    I have exactly the same problem!!! I found that not all groups have the same problem but almost 90% of the groups got this issue!!!

    Tried to reinstall the app and it does not help!!

     

    Contacted Whatsapp support for few days but only asking me to check FAQ
