Q: How do I get back an app when it disappears?

I was rearranging my apps on my home screen, when I was dragging Yahoo Mail and dropped it, only for it to disappear. I couldn't find it anywhere, so I figured it somehow got deleted. No problem, just redownload it. Bit, when I go to the App Store it says "Open" meaning I still apparently have it. I can search for the app and use it, but I want to have it on my home screen. Anyone know what to do? I have checked through my entire app collections and it is nowhere

When you do the Spotlight Search for the app, and it appears in the search results, if the app is in a folder, the name of the folder will appear to the right of the app name. Did you see a folder name in the search?

If you still can't find it, you can delete it in the settings and then download it again. Bear in mind when you delete an app, you delete the data as well. Settings>General>Storage & iCloud Usage>Storage>Manage Storage. Let the list of apps load and then tap on it in the list. Tap Delete on the next screen. Download it again.

If that doesn't work, try a forced restart. No data is lost when you do this. To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

I was wondering, would you not be able to see the app, if you connect the iPad to iTunes?

iTunes has a graphical interface that represents what is on your iPad, and so basically this makes it rather easy not only to understand what is on your iPad but also to drag things around, or drag apps to other screens when you need too..

    Just saying.......
