Q: IPhone 5s Unlocking?

Hello! I have a IPhone 5S that i just bought from a seller on ebay. He said the phone was unlocked, so i got it. I came home and it was delivered, But when i tried to put a Cricket SIM card in, it said it was invalid. I have been looking how to unlock this phone for several hours now, And people say call them to unlock it, But the phone won't work with the sim. Is there any way of doing this without paying money and actually unlocking it?

A password is required to activate this device because its owner has used Find My iPhone to link it to their Apple ID.

If this is your device, enter the Apple ID and password you used to set up iCloud.

If you were given this device or purchased it second-hand, you will need to contact the original owner to have them remove the device from their account.

Only the carrier its locked to can unlock a device to be used with sim cards from other carriers.

If you do not know which carrier it is locked to you will have to contact the ebay seller and ask them .

Alternatively you may want to restore the iPhone using itunes and see if the unlock will complete then as the seller may not have restored the iPhone after requesting the unlock.
