Apple advises that you should not continue using a damaged iPhone. Given the symptoms that you have described, I suggest that you turn it off completely.
Contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation to arrange for your iPhone to be inspected and to establish your available service options (whether under warranty or via chargeable repair service), likely timescales and any cost:
