Q: iPhone 7 128GB iOS10 - Randomly freezes (partial) for 1-5 minutes

I have a new iPhone 7 128GB with the latest iOS10 installed.  This issue occurred since I got the device on release day (9/8/16), so it has occurred now on a few different IOS 10 versions.

My phone was set up as a new iphone, complete reset and not from backup.

It happens seemingly randomly, once every 1-2 weeks.

Each time I am attempting to log into the phone using my touchID.  I pick up the phone, place my finger on the home button, and expect to get to the home screen (unlocked).  Instead, I remain at the lock screen.  I do still feel the haptic feedback that my thumb was placed down, though.

I think try the power button (press it once).  The phone doesn't turn off.  I can try the home button again with my fingerprint, but still nothing.  If I scroll to the left, I get to the widgets, but I can't do anything there.  If I scroll right, I get to the camera - and I get stuck there.  I can't get back to the lock screen, and I can't turn off the phone, and the home button does nothing.

I also have tried holding the power button to just turn it off.  Nothing happens.

I also try to reset using power+home or power+volume down. Nothing happens.

At this point I have to wait for the screen to turn itself off (time out the display).  However, if I'm on camera, it will never happen, so I have to click into photos and wait there for it to turn off.  If I was at the lock screen still though, I just wait.

Once it's off after a minute or 2, I try again, and hopefully it works again.  Sometimes it does right away and other times I have to wait longer, maybe a few extra minutes.

Once it IS working, I unlock using my touchID as usual, and it goes to the home screen, but then it really freaks out and all of my previous actions seemingly "catch up."  I see the "double click" action take place (open apps show up) andthen back to home screen a few times, and a screenshot is taken, etc... all in about the span of 1-2 seconds.  Then the phone is back to normal.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?  At this point it's extremely annoying, and I figured it was time to be reported.  I cannot reproduce it for the genius bar on command because it's so random and only happens once every week or two... so I'm not sure what next actions to take.

Thanks.
