    What version of Office? Did you update Office as well?

    It would help to know what version of Word you are using. If it is the most recent version (Office 15) there are two possible solutions. 1) have you checked for a recent update? They are coming frequently. 2) some people running Office 15 have reported that updating didn't work but deleting the Office apps and re-downloading them did.

     

    Office 2011 reportedly works with Sierra. I have launched each application and briefly tested them but I've upgraded and no longer use them so I can't reliably confirm this.
