iMac and Bluetooth Logitech M510 Mouse

I have a new iMac and I'm trying to use a Logitech M510 with a Unifying receiver plugged into the back of the iMac.

The connection to the mouse is lost and/or very weak if i take it 2 feet away from the iMac screen. But when i bring the mouse closer, the mouse performs as normal. Yes, I've replaced the batteries.

Question is.....this normal? Hard to imagine a BT connection is the weak.

FYI...when I use the included Magic Mouse 2, it works flawlessly via BT.

TIA for your time.

Hello John,

I think you will find it is down to the drivers. Have you talked to Logitech about this? Usually they keep up to date with Apple systems but if you are into Sierra, that may be the cause. All the same, it is worth studying the Apple document here ... https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201542 to see if any of the points relate to your situation.

As you will appreciate, Apple's systems are not designed with third party products in mind .. which is why your MM2 works flawlessly.
