I erased my hard drive through the online recovery process with d disk utility and it erased everything on my hard drive then i restarted my mac with my bootable thumb drive to re-install the MAC OS X LION but it didn't work showing me a circle logo

Oct 21, 2016 12:21 PM in response to Nwokafor Amobiby lllaass,A mid 2012 MacBook Pro requires 10.7.3 or later since that was what originally came with that model
OS X versions and builds included with Mac computers - Apple Support
I would download the latest version of Lion form the Purchased section of the Mac App Sgtore and make a bootable installer using DiskMaker.
Your Mac also support Sierra so you can use that instead
