Q: Cannot send mail with Mail app through Mail service of Server App

Hello guys,

I am having a problem with my mail service in server app, i can send mails to inside and outside ISP domains, but i cannot receive from anyone, in my Mail app.

Since i dont have a clue on how to solve this and i never tried to do this before i will try to explain what i have.

In my ISP mail server i have the following ports:

SSL/TLSWithout SSL/TLS
usernameteste@A.comtest@A.com
passemail passemail pass
Incoming server

cpanel.B.com

- IMAP: 993

- POP3: 995

mail.A.com

- IMAP: 143

- POP3: 110

Outgoint server

cpanel.B.com

- SMTP: 465

mail.A.com

- SMTP: 25

AuthenticationFor IMAP, POP3 and SMTPFor IMAP, POP3 and SMTP

I have an user defined in users at Server app as a service user with email test@A.com.

In my mail service i am providing mail for A.com domain. I dont have relay outgoing mail activated. My mail service is identified with local DNS as remote.A.com. I am using an external dynamic IP (for now).

On Mail app i have made the configuration as:

Account type: IMAP

email: test@A.com

Incoming mail:

server: remote.A.com

user: test

Outgoing mail:

server: remote.A.com

user: test

On 'advanced' i am using the default port 143, and i have tried with SSL and without it, and same output, no receives. The authentication brings the MD5 Challenge-Response by default.

NOTE: i have also an email web service running, and is working fine, sending and receiving, but i am using IMAP and SMTP directly from my ISP server mail (for now).

I tried to add all the relevant data but if you need more just say it.

The problem seems to be between my ISP server mail and my mail server, but i cannot figure it out =/

i didnt notice that was from the quotes from default and config files of roundcube it self , it was from the default text program on OSX, and it seems that was causing problems!!! I didnt notice it because both types of quotes are very equal! Those strange quotes just change when i pasted here! And yes, those quotes had a different value in ASQII and was messing with roundcube!

Nothing better then pure nano from command line!

Now i dont have problems with leaving it empty '' and i am getting a different error to 'localhost':

[24-Oct-2016 16:34:50 +0100]: <57i9hjni> IMAP Error: Login failed for X from 192.168.1.1. The krb5 extension is required for GSSAPI authentication in /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_imap.php on line 193 (POST /?_task=login&_action=login)

Now i know what is going!

Do you know where can i find this plug in? After a while searching in the official repo i didnt found anything =/
