Q: No cellular data connection on IPad

I have an Ipad4 (A1460) running on IOS 10.0.2. It
has Wi-Fi and cellular data connection. Once I had upgraded to IOS 10, the cellular
data connection is not working and I can't access data. The Wi-Fi
connection is working. I have done all procedures required to
bring cellular data connection (switch on and of data connection, airplane
mode, reset networks, Erase All Content and Settings) and it has failed. The
upgrade from IOS 10 to 10.0.2 has not resolved the problem.

I have engaged the service provider
(Airtel-Malawi) and they have not been able to resolve it. They have also told
me that they also have data network connections with gadgets using
IOS 10. The Airtel-Malawi network carrier is at 25.0. I have read through the
forums and in America, it appears on T-Mobile, the upgrading of carrier from
25.0 to 25.2 seemed to have resolved the issue. Can this be a cause? From the
discussion, Apple is responsible to send the latest carrier (25.2) to network
provider. Is it possible for them to send the carrier to our networks here in
Malawi?

On the same matter, can this cellular data
connection problem be as result of bug in IOS 10 operating system? Will the bug
be resolved in future operating IOS updates?

Please assist on request as the Ipad is no longer a useful gadget
without cellular data connection. The Wi-Fi is not readily available across the
country.

    Hi Briansyddall,

Thanks for your reply although I am surprised that IOS update can cause hardware fault.

My network provider (Airtel Malawi) did change the sim card. The same sim card when placed on the

phone (windows/Samsung handset), the internet works.

On the same subject matter, will the new update on IOS resolve this matter? I had asked on the matter

on carrier which I did not get feedback. Airtel Malawi carrier is at 25.0? Can Apple be able to send an 25.2

version of the carrier to Airtel and see if the cellular data connections problems can be resolved?

Where can I send an email to apple on this subject. We do not have apple store in Malawi.
