Three finger click (Look up) doesn't work.

Hello,

After installing macOS Sierra (version 10.12), I noticed the three finger click (look up) feature stopped working. I have checked if the option is enabled in system preferences, I have verified that all other enabled gestures are working (they are), and I have tried multiple apps to discern if it is an individual app problem. I am a graduate and professional student, and I constantly use the look up feature throughout my studies. I also understand that I can two-finger click then select "look up" as an alternative, but if a three-finger click is an option and it is what I have grown accustomed to using, I would prefer things that are offered to work. I would really be grateful for anyone's experience, expertise, or general input. Thank you very much!

Hi tygb,

Thank you for your quick reply to my question. Unfortunately, the article you suggested is not the look up feature to which I was referring. The feature I am asking for help with is the one that is programmed as a three-finger tap if it is selected in the "trackpad" system preferences, under the "point & click" tab. Once again, thank you for your concern and help.
