Q: iOS 10.0.2 wifi connected but no internet connection
I have an iPhone 5s with iOS 10.0.2. I am not sure when this problem started, but I have noticed it since I have been on iOS 10.
This is the scenario: under settings it says that I am connected to wifi and displays the wifi network to which I am connected. When I go into wifi settings it says that i have no internet connection and no check mark appears next to the network to which it says I was connected. This has nothing to do with my network since I have seen this issue at both my home network and my work network. Also when having this issue, i have run speedtest on my phone and always comes back with very slow download/upload speeds when experiencing this issue.
The only "fix" that I know is to reset my network settings. This does not fix it for very long and is rather annoying to have to constantly re-enter passwords for my wifi networks every time I reset. After I reset, when I go into wifi settings I will see the check mark next to the wifi network to which I am connected and I do not see the "no internet connection" message. Also when I run the same speed test, that I mentioned above, I get very fast download/upload speeds.
Does anyone have any ideas? Anything else I can try other than reset my network settings? This is very worrisome because I am confident that I although it says I am connected to wifi, I am not and am using alot of data because of it.
thanks
doug
