Q: Invert Waveform Zoom (Mouse-Scroll)?

I can zoom in on my waveforms using Shift-Option-Scroll, however the zoom feels backwards to me and I want to invert it.
When I roll my scroll the mouse wheel towards me, the waveforms are zoomed-out and become father away from me. If I scroll the wheel away from me, the waveforms get up close. Apple normally promotes the "Natural" way of interacting physically, but this feels counter-intuitive. Is there a preference or text-document I can edit to invert the zoom?

Additionally, I would like to edit the shortcut to just Option-Scroll (and loose the extra Shift button), but I can't find where to edit that either.

System Preferences, you want to change the way page scrolling works.  If that doesn't change it, there's no way to change it.  Don't think you're going to change the built-in keyboard shortcuts.
