Q: Is there a way to roll back to IOS 9?

I really dislike putting it politely the IOS 10.0.2 update. I have a huge list of random issues and overall the entire IOS is horrible. I even had to remove the phone lock feature due to issues. This is making my phone vulnerable. Bluetooth and WiFi  have many problems. In CA we cannot talk on our phones without BT. Its against the law. I spend more time rebooting and forcing my phone to work while driving or at lights because it randomly disconnects and a reboot is the only thing that fixes it. Not to mention it hangs and goes really dim for up to 3-5 minutes at a time and I cannot end calls, or navigate anything. I have to reboot sometimes. Again just a few of the many items. I have a long list of issues with email, apps, etc... The worst update I have experienced so far. I do not like being those people who do not embrace change but the GUI is horrible too. I have read many articles about security flaws as well so this concerns me.

How do I roll back and is that even an option? At least until they have a working IOS released.

No, Apple does not support downgrading, and the iOS 9.x ipsw files are no longer being signed by Apple. You do not indicate what version iPhone you are using. I've using an iPhone 7 now, but was using an iPhone 6s with iOS 10. While the interface issues are subjective, I'm still able to lock my phone and use Touch ID or the passcode, the phones both connected to the Bluetooth in my vehicle. Have you checked with the manufacturer of your vehicle to ensure their system is compatible with iOS 10? It is their responsibility to ensure that compatibility with the latest Bluetooth profiles. It sounds as if you need to create a backup of the phone and restore it. Use iTunes and restore to factory to load a fresh copy of iOS 10 on the device and test it. Then you can restore your backup. The release of iOS 10.0.2 works just fine on many devices.

I am using the 6S. I have not tried the backup, fresh install, restore yet. As far as my car goes, I used this phone in a brand new MBZ, BMW, and Jeep Wrangler. All 3 had issues 2 were brand new, the BMW was a 2014. The thing about the BT issues is my phone disconnects and you cannot navigate or reconnect. I have also had this issue at the gym with my BT headphones. I hope the answer is not to purchase all new BT devices and take all cars to service to work with IOS 10. I have been an only apple user for a long time but that would make me question by loyalty to apple. I will attempt a wipe of the phone and restore hopefully this resolves it.

I'm not sure if you were responding to my post, since you responded to yourself. However, I've not experienced issues with Bluetooth devices with iOS 10. My vehicle works, and my Bluetooth headphones works as well. You should not need to purchase all new devices. I will say however, that I have read a number of posts about issues with BMW vehicles and iOS 10. A lot more than other vehicles, so I'm not sure what the problem is with BMW, but I would be asking a dealer if it were me. Chrysler products like the Jeep have historically had issues with UConnect as well, but generally if a user has had a previous device connect, they seem to work with the newer ones as well.
