Q: Mac Mini recovery mode troubleshooting?

I am currently trying to re-set up my mac mini 2014 model, and I am unable to do so, I can not get past the folder with the flashing question mark signifying files are missing, I am using a window's keyboard on it and the alt r, windows r, the command is not working. I need help.

To enter Recovery Mode on a Mac, the key combination would normally be: <Command> + <R>. Since you are using a Windows keyboard, that key combination equivalent would be: <Control> + <R>.

To enter Internet Recovery Mode, the Windows equivalent would be: <Control> + <ALT> + <R>.

Most likely, as your Mac mini is a 2014 model, you will have to use the Internet Recovery Mode as the recovery partition may not have been created on the Macintosh HD.
