Q: My Canon Pixmia MX-922 will not print direct to DVD/CD

My brand new Canon Pixma MX922 all in one inkjet printer works great in Mac OS 10.12 but the direct to DVD/CD printing. The software works but when I insert printable DVD to print on it does not print anything on it. Does anyone have a fix for this or know what is going on?
