Q: Great smartwatch but...

Why has Apple not done anything to export native iOS data to 3rd party apps like Strava? I returned my Garmin vivoactive just because I thought he series 2 from apple would be better as a fitness watch. Completely useless if I can't sync my data from Apple to Strava. I can't take my phone on a swim! And I can't sync my swim from my watch to Strava.. Would love to know if this is receiving attention, because I'm seriously considering taking my series 2 Apple Watch back.
