Q: Using latest version of Sierra, why am I continually getting the following message coming up in a box on the screen: - com.apple.WebKit.Networking wants to export key "jhfd@me.com (MobileMe ichat Key)- 2009-11-19 08:27:15 GB" from your keychain.

com.apple.WebKit.jpg

This box is repeatedly coming up when I use Safari and I don't trust it. This has only started happening today. I have now gone into System Preferences and under iCloud have turned off (unticked) Keychain and it may have stopped. Can anyone tell me what is going on, I'm not really wanting to respond to it by pushing any of the button keys?

    Hey there!

If you are getting an unfamiliar po pup message concerning access to your keychain, it may be that the me.com account it refers to had a recent password change. Great way of disabling your iCloud keychain to try and resolve, however, this particular message does not have any relation to your iCloud keychain at all. Try resetting your Mac's keychain to resolve the issue. I would sign out of the me.com Apple ID from your iCloud preferences before resetting the keychains.

Choose Keychain Access > Preferences, then click General.

    Click Reset My Default Keychain.

In the Finder, choose Apple menu > Log Out. When you log in again, save your current password in a keychain.

Keychain Access: If you’re asked frequently to unlock your keychain

Following these steps should assist with that pop up you are getting. Thanks for using Apple Communities to post your concern. Have a great weekend.
