Is your profile signature still valid - OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite?
If you want to be able to tag your photos with locations, you need to update Photos. In Photos on OS X 10.11. El Capitan or macOS 10.12 Sierra you can add locations by typing the name of a place into the Info Panel or typing the latitude and longitude in degrees into the Info panel for a photo, where it says "Add a location". macOS 10.12 Sierra has the new Places album where you can see all photos on a map in grid view or satellite view. If you are still running Yosemite on your Mac, consider to upgrade to macOS 10.12 Sierra. Photos 2.0 on Sierra has been much improved compared to the first release on Yosemite.

Oct 22, 2016 7:25 AM in response to léonieby vivmires,Yes, my MacBook Pro is in iOS Yosemite Version 10.10.5, however, i don’t seen any option for updating Photos. Also, not sure how do I get OS X 10.11.EI Capitan or macOS 10.12 Sierra?
PS, I used to be able to edit location in my Photo.
Thanks,

Oct 22, 2016 8:32 AM in response to vivmiresby léonie,If you install macOS Sierra, the update of Photos will be included. There are no separate updaters for Photos.
This page explains how to upgrade your system to macOS 10.12 Sierra: https://www.apple.com/macos/sierra/
Be sure to make a backup of your current system before you upgrade.
