Oct 22, 2016 8:24 AM in response to donsj7by zinacef,If the device has an Activation Lock on it and you are the original owner of the device, you will need to take it into your local Apple Store with proof of purchase (your receipt), and they should be able to help.
However, if you are not the original owner, you will need to return the device to the original owner to have them remove the lock for you. If that cannot be done, then the device, sadly, is useless to you, in which case, you may want to consider recycling it.
