Voiceover and email

So now that I'm getting a new I-Mac soon, can someone here tell me how the screen reader Voiceover works with email?

I appreciate any info I reseave here, it helps allot.

BTW, I only use Gmail. I used to use Outlook, but have since closed my outlook account and imported all my messages to Gmail.
