Q: Cannot disable 'shuffle' since upgrading to iTunes 12.5

When I updated to iTunes 12.5.xx, regardless of whether the 'shuffle' setting is highlighted or not, music does not play sequentially; it shuffles. I've tried toggling on an off, rebooting, no effect.

In this screen capture, the icon at the top of the screen is not highlighted. The icon below the album artwork is always blue (it looks highlighted) but clicking on it simply causes an instance of random shuffle.

One place to check is the Up Next list.  Along top of iTunes window, immediately to the right of the Now Playing box, find the button with three dots and three lines.  Click that button to drop down the Up Next list.  Click the Clear button.  Then, play songs from your song list again; see if they play in expected order.
