iPhone rings when on blue tooth or USB in car - I want to stop the iPhone ringing! - Please

Hi

Can anyone help I have an iPhone 6S (iOS 10) and a new car. When the phone is connected via Bluetooth, or plugged in via the USB in the car and I get an incoming call, the phone itself rings and the car speakers ring at the same time!? Which clearly defeats the purpose of bluetooth and in car connectivity! Does anyone know how to stop the phone ringing when a new call comes in to the car?

Thanks

iPhone 6s, iOS 10.0.3

Hi!

Congratulations on your new car!! If you'd like to stop the iPhone from ringing while connected via Bluetooth in your car, simply put it on silent mode. By default, the device and car stereo will notify you when an incoming call comes in.
