When trying to connect my iPhone 6 to iTunes, it no longer shows up. I tried resetting it thinking that was the problem, but that didn't work. Please help! Should I take it to my nearest Apple store and see what they can do?

Are you using the current iOS (10.0.2)? If so, you must have iTunes 12.5.1 or later because that is required to communicate to iOS 10.
iTunes 12.5.1 requires Windows 7 or later, or OS X 10.9.5 or later.
Do you meet all these requirements?
Yes to the current OS, I do indeed have iTunes 12.5.1. And I am using WIndows 7.
