Q: Wifi drops when connecting USB hub/ethernet adapter

Hello,

I purchased a Zoweetek USB 3.0 hub / gigabit ethernet adapter from Amazon. USB hub works fine, however when I plug it in, the WiFi signal drops (in system preferences it becomes amber and no wifi networks are shown, even if there are about 10 in my area). I am trying it on a Macbook pro with Retina Display with Mac OS 10.12 installed.

 

Tried multiple things (ensure correct service order, delete or make inactive the USB ethernet interface, connecting it to parallels) however nothing seems to work. After I disconnect the Zoweetek adapter, if I reconnect to my WiFi network everything works normally.

 

Does anyone use this adapter on a Mac without issue? Any ideas?
