Q: Touch Force on Preview for MacOS Sierra

I updated the OS to Sierra.

Then I found out that it is not possible anymore to look up words in Preview using Force Touch.

Someone suggested applying right-clicking, but this solution is not user-friendly; especially if you need to look up many words in a text.

How can I get back to use Force Touch to look up words in Preview?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), macOS Sierra (10.12)

    Thank you for your reply.

But my problem is that in the previous OS, when one was reading a file with Preview, it was possible to look up the definition of a word in the dictionary using force touch on that word.

This mechanism does not work anymore on OS Sierra.

    Thanks!

Force Touch in Preview is broken. Hopefully it will be fixed in 10.12.1.

I have the same problem, after a long session with apple support, they told me that it should be working, and instructed me to do SMC reset, if this did not work, then NVRAM reset, and finally back up and re-install mac OS again.

I believe that it is a mac OS sierra issue; can any one confirm if the feature is working with them.

"Looking up word definition in preview using force click".

The thing that it used to work fine in Al Capitan though was limited to native apps, including Preview.

Now, with macOS sierra, it's power is extended to work with non native apps, but not preview!!

Whoever you spoke with at Apple was mistaken.
