Shared address book

Hello,

My wife and i have separate login accounts on our shared MacBook. We both back-uo our iphones onto iCloud. Icolud is set-up on the MacBook for our accounts.

Is there any way we can have a shared address book and also have our own contacts separated? Mutual friends and family for example shared, but allow us to maintain other peoples personal contact details separated. So, if i edit one of our mutual friends contact details in my address book, it will update on my wifes address book (on the MacBook and also on our iphones).
