Hello weelorr,

Thanks for asking about your iPad and FaceTime here in the Apple Support Communities. I understand how important it is to stay connected with FaceTime. I am happy to provide some help with this.

The first thing we want to ensure is that all your data is safe. You can make a backup in iCloud or iTunes using this article : How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch .

Once your data is safe, please try these troubleshooting steps for the most common ways to resolve your issue.

1. Try turning FaceTime off and on again by going to Settings > FaceTime.

2. Make sure that FaceTime is enabled in the same area as number 1.

3. Make sure that you are using the correct phone number or Apple ID for calling the person.

4. Make sure that the camera for FaceTime is not restricted (Settings > General > Restrictions)

5. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time to check date and time are set correctly and set automatically.

If those did not help, please check these articles:

1. Use FaceTime with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

2. Get help if you can‘t make or receive FaceTime calls

3. If you use FaceTime and iMessage behind a firewall

Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.
