Q: Notes not syncing with iPhone 7

Any notes created on Mac are not syncing to my iPhone 7. They are syncing with my iPad, so I don't think the problem is on my Mac. Any notes created on my iPhone are not syncing up either. I have signed off my iCloud on the phone, turned off Notes on the phone. All notes deleted and when I turned Notes back on, all the notes created prior to activating the new phone loaded back on, but none of the notes created after that loaded. I turned of Notes on the iPad to see if they would reload when turned back on and all notes to date reloaded. Any suggestions to get the iPhone to actively sync and download all new notes as they are created?

    Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities for help with Notes. I understand how important it is to have your notes sync across your devices. I am happy to offer something for this.


    The first thing we want to ensure is that all your data is safe. You can make iOS backups in iCloud or iTunes using this article : How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. For the Mac, you can make a backup using Time Machine and an external hard drive. Use this article for help making a backup of your Mac: Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac.


    The most common reason things like this happen is due to being signed in with the wrong Apple ID. Please verify every device you use is signed in at Settings > iCloud on the iOS devices, and System Preferences > iCloud on the Mac. If they are, try unchecking, and re-checking your devices to sync notes again. If you still have issues, please check these articles:

    Also, if you are making notes in a wireless network area that has the necessary ports blocked (such as at work or a free wireless network), then you may need to turn off Wi-Fi in Settings > Wi-Fi for this to work. Otherwise, you will need to uncheck and re-check notes to get everything to re-sync once you leave that area.


    If you have more issues or question, please provide which version of OS X your Mac is running, which version of iOS is on your iPhone 7 Plus (please upgrade to iOS 10.3.3 if it is not running that version), and which version of iOS is on your iPad. If you are running an older version of Mac OS X and iOS or iCloud Notes as described in this help article: iCloud: Upgraded iCloud Notes, you may not be able to sync everything until all your devices are using the same version of Notes.
