Q: Contacts on iMac not syncing with iCloud

Hi All,

 

Got a problem with my contacts on my iMac not syncing with the iCloud.

 

There is 266 contacts on the cloud and 208 contacts on my iMac. A few weeks back I had a problem with the iCloud picking up a new contact created in the iMac. Decided to reformat the system and that seems to have fixed the problem. However I can't seem to get the full amount of contacts on the cloud to download into my iMac.

 

Tried to force sync but couldn't work out how to do that.

 

Any ideas anyone?

    It sounds like you are not seeing all the contacts sync from iCloud that should be. This article may well help you get that issue resolved:

    I've been through all that on the linked page, been through all of it over the phone with an Apple employee and still no progress. It got escalated and someone was meant to get back in touch with me but haven't yet, taking into consideration this was weeks ago obviously that is not going to happen.

     

    The only thing I haven't done is force sync, but for the life of me I can't work out how to do it. The directions on the internet don't match up with whats on my screen.

     

    Very frustrating and it hampers productivity significantly.
