Saving memory

I just finished deleting most of my pictures, messages, and unused apps.

Now I tried deleting my mail accounts to save 900+ MB, but when I deleted the accounts my

memory did not shrink at all.. Anyone know why my mail still shows 900+ MB used even after I deleted my mail accounts?
