Q: Two iPhones one Apple ID how do I change?

Each of us has an iPhone 6. For some reason iPhone #2 is also linked to my iCloud account and everything on my phone goes on his. I think he needs to establish his own apple id but I'm not sure how to change it on his phone without losing all the data.

iPod classic, Mac OS X (10.6.8), null

    Hello goldens01,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to keep your family's phone managed and separate, and I'd like to help.

To remove your iCloud from the phone, all you have to do is go to Settings > iCloud and select the "Sign Out" button. You will be asked to enter the password and will be given the option to keep data on the phone. Be sure to select "Keep On My iPhone" whenever that option is presented.

Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Afterwards, you can sign in to a different Apple ID. If you need to set up a new Apple ID, this article will walk you through that process:

Create and start using an Apple ID

Be aware that any purchases made under the original Apple ID will still be tied to that Apple ID. If you need to continue to share them, you may want to look into Family Sharing:
