If you did and it did not work, then see this support document to get the device into Recovery Mode and try updating again. 1. closed itunes
2. connected my phone to the computer
3. opened itunes
4. while connected force started it.
5. currently in iphone recovery mode
6. apple logo shown
7. progressive bar shown
8. itunes says updating software on this phone .
9. waiting but bar is not moving.
??? what next please
