Q: Final Cut Pro X Trial

For some reason, I'm unable to add color to color masks box in Final Cut Pro X Trial...any input or suggested solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

YOu use the color board to alter the color of the area that's been selected. What are you doing and what happens when you do it? Post screenshots of what isnt working for you.

The concentric circles won't appear in order for me to drag and select color for color mask...I'm trying to isolate one color in clip with the rest of the clip background in black and white. How do I get this to work?

Follow exactly advice given in the Manual
https://help.apple.com/finalcutpro/mac/10.2/#/ver40b008a7

Those circles appear only, when you select the eye-dropper tool in the Inspector, then click, hold and drag in the preview window......

(screen-grabs don't catch the cursor/eye-dropper…)
