Q: Voice Memo Problem

After using airplane mode on my iPhone 6 Plus, and then turning it back off, I now have no volume on the playback of my voice memo app. i can hear it in the earpiece, but not through the speaker. I am on iOS 10.0.2 Please help! I never had any problems until using airplane mode!

OK

1st thing I did was get your thread moved to Using iPhone from Using ASC (how to use the forum forum)

 

I don't have an iPhone, but restart is step one of any troubleshooting anything

 

Trying to think this through to ask dumb questions to get data collected for those who come after

  • is VoiceMemo the ONLY playback that is affected?
  • what happens if you toggle audio settings? (work the switch so that the settings are repeatedly saved)
  • is there ANY possibility of other event that coincides with your airplane mode? (besides actually flying)

 

it may be tomorrow before anyone jumps in (if they do)

I will keep track and call attention if too much time passes

    I did a restart a number of times. I also cleared browsing page data, and did the 10 tap on the feather at the app store. Did not help.

    Thank you ChitlinsCC. You solved my problem. I checked the music app and the volume was turned all the way down. I hardly ever use this app so this took me completely off guard. I guess the music app volume controls the voice memo volume. Thanks again, you're a gentleman and a scholar..Problem solved..

    Poking around and flipping switches to find out if the lights come on is sometimes a bingo
